Studying Runes and Tarot in the Menshikova School

Studying Runes and Tarot. Can they be combined?

Why are the rules so strict for the Tarot and Runes Departments at the Menshikova School?

Regarding the Tarot and Runes systems, it is important to emphasize once again that the rules at the school are strict because Tarot and Runes are not used as a source of divination or information, but as a source of magical transformation of consciousness. This means that the requirements for those we guide through the magical system of Tarot are substantial and very high. The same applies to the system of Runes.

Immersion into the system of Runes

The school’s mentors have no desire to assume responsibility for the debts of students who come to study runes. There is a rule according to which a mentor assumes responsibility for their students, and therefore would have to deal with Christian egregores themselves, protecting them in the event of a conflict of traditions. If you are an orthodox believer, an orthodox Christian—you will not be accepted into the classes, without exception.

The situation with Tarot is different

The Tarot system does not conflict with participation in religious egregores. Being a Christian, one can quite easily practice Tarot. However, according to the school’s rules, it is not possible to combine the Runes and Tarot Departments at the same time, because they are entirely different systems and will pull a person’s consciousness in different directions. Someone with an unprepared mind may receive more harm than benefit. Therefore, if you wish to study within this school, you are expected to follow its conditions. If you consider these conditions unacceptable, there are many other schools that do not impose such requirements. Those schools may teach divination, diagnostics, and how to read information through runes, but they do not teach how to let either Runes or Tarot penetrate deeply enough to produce a true transformation of consciousness.

Any transformation is always irreversible

This must be kept in mind when beginning your path. There is no going back — it is a one-way ticket. This, too, must be understood and accepted. Where this requirement is absent, contact with Runes and Tarot in such schools will be entirely painless for you — it will not, under any circumstances, affect the foundation of your worldview. Studying in our school, however, will affect it, and quite significantly. Therefore, it is better to think it over many times.

The door to the School opens only from the outside; from the inside, it does not open. And once you enter, you will go all the way to the end — at least in the Tarot and Runes departments. All other courses — you are free to begin at any time and finish at any time; this does not interfere, because they primarily develop your consciousness as a social personality, and this does not harm your worldview.

But when you enter into magical practice, you begin to interact with this world in a different way. Not simply as a biological or social being, but as a consciousness engaged with magical potential. This is a different level of responsibility, because your word and your thought take on the nature of a command to the world — and commands must be carried out. If you do not understand yourself, if you allow yourself to play both sides, then such a command can distort the world in unpredictable ways, disrupting an already fragile balance.

About the Menshikova School

The Menshikova School offers education in magic, Runes, the Elements, and Tarot.

Ksenia Menshikova is the founder and head of the School, as well as the author of books on the development of magical abilities.

The School’s mission is to pass on to students the technologies and methodologies that awaken and develop their magical potential.

Magical consciousness is not a “gift from above,” but the result of deliberate self-transformation through will and reason. Only those who possess both can truly become a mage.
