“Mother-Earth gives a place for everyone in this world. If you can’t see a place for someone, it doesn’t mean that such a place doesn’t exist. It simply means that you are blind, and I will teach you. I will teach you until you see my fourth side,” says Hecate, speaking on behalf of Mother-Earth. The power of this deity unites people and prevents them from destroying one another, teaching them how to live in peace. The Goddess reconciles humans with one another.
Hecate is the four-faced Goddess. The first, second, and third faces can be seen, but never the fourth, because it is always at the back. The fourth face represents the most hidden, secret meaning, which is not revealed immediately. It shows that in this world everything is necessary and everything is connected: “If something is conceived this way, then it has a meaning. You can see to the left, you can see to the right, you can see straight ahead. You can see the past, the present, and the future. But now try to see the reason.”
In Slavic tradition, there is a similar masculine deity — Sventovit. He, too, had four faces, but was always depicted as three-faced. In this symbolic way, our ancestors showed that a god can have a hidden meaning. And if someone manages to understand it, it means they understand the god.

The traditional offering to Hecate is feeding dogs on the 29th lunar day. They are her animals. But the goddess can also give another assignment. For this, you should ask her: “Do you approve of this form, or do you want to give me another assignment?” And then listen to her answer.
