I immerse myself in magic, studying magic, practicing magic, but sometimes there are moments when I become lazy and want nothing – this is the moment of transition of consciousness to a new level. I get stuck in the routine of life.
What a magical practitioner should do when they hit a point of stagnation?
“There are moments in my life when I am very actively immersed in magic, studying, practicing and so on. But then there comes a moment when there is neither desire nor motivation, I get stuck in the routine of life. Should I overcome periods of stagnation by will or should I let my inner state take over?”
In the life of every practitioner there is a moment of what is called ‘quantum transition’ when consciousness comes to a point where information should be compressed and the final base should move to another level of consciousness. It is at this moment of transition that the effects you have described occur. You become very lazy, you don’t want to do anything, you perform every ritual as if you were doing some kind of hard forced labour.
You used to fly to every practice, your hands were shaking before every ritual, you think through all the details because it’s like painting a picture, but at some point everything gets cut off – and that’s the moment of transition. Try to endure it. It’s very important. Because if you say: “Oh, life is short…” you will immediately fall backwards in your development and even lower than your starting level. Don’t do that.
You can allow yourself to rest, but with a clear consciousness, realising that this is exactly the process of transition, the process of transformation. If you don’t have the strength to overcome it, you have to pull yourself together and say I’m going to control myself and get through this until it’s over and endure this difficult state.
The first time is particularly frightening and incomprehensible. The second time you realise you’re lazy, you don’t want anything, you want to get drunk or go to a resort somewhere to be like everyone else. There is a good universal method – go to the forest. The forest will restore you, heal you and nourish you.
