Chaos Magic and the Magic of Water
“What is chaos magic, and what is the magic of Water? What qualities must the consciousness of a person possess in order to practice this kind of magic?”
Chaos magic is extraordinarily difficult for a human being, because human consciousness itself is structured. Chaos is absolute formlessness, and therefore, to practice chaos, one must learn to become formless. What does this mean? It means passing through every level of renunciation of the self. Passing through death — losing one’s personality. Passing through Freedom — losing one’s illusions. Passing through Chaos — losing one’s form. One who passes through the proto-foundation of Chaos, one who immerses themselves in this kind of magic, often cannot even remember their own name. Such is the nature of this force: it erases everything — like the complete defragmentation of a disk all at once.
How to Become a Mage of Chaos
The mages of chaos are capable of allowing themselves to dissolve and then reconstruct themselves again — they possess such a skill. Yet the tradition that could fully transmit this knowledge does not presently belong to humanity. A human being simply does not possess the tools required to recreate themselves once the memory has been completely erased — to ‘reload’ it back into consciousness.
However, one can learn the magic of Water — to work with it as the main foundation and to shape everything from this element. This skill does exist, though it belongs more to the realm of sorcery, and it will inevitably require magical practice from you. There is one essential condition here: Water must never remain still — it acts, it moves. When Water becomes stagnant, it begins to decay. That is why practice is absolutely necessary, no matter what form it takes — the important thing is that not a single day passes without practice. One must learn to direct one’s Water masterfully — the force of one’s desire, anger, fear — regardless of where it is being channeled.
Water cannot be compressed — it will tear you apart from within. That is why it must always be given an outlet. If you wish to practice the magic of Water and, through it, perhaps understand the magic of Chaos, then learn to practice every single day, regardless of circumstances. To satisfy every desire of your own — even the most unmanifested, shameful, hidden, or secret.
