Air and Water elements

Elemental Combination: Air-Water

Air – Water Horizontal Axis

Combination of the AIR-WATER elements, the flow of time in human consciousness at the level of the Vishuddha chakra (throat), control over the development of the causal body.

The seminar of the Elements 1 course of the Elemental Department.

In the cross, it forms horizontal movement, where Air gives motion to Water. Air is independent and infinitely mobile. Water, on the other hand, tends towards stability and exhibits properties of inertia. The conflict generated by the interaction of these two elements is a conflict of a forced directional movement.

In this conflict, Air manifests the property of suppressing the resistance of the medium, and Water manifests and determines the properties of the medium itself – inertia, immobility, absorption through dissolution, and a tendency towards uniformity. Individuality versus community. Thought versus feeling.

However, it should be remembered and not forgotten that at the elemental level, the meaning of conflict is not mutual destruction, but solely the manifestation of properties. And the more eternal the conflict is, the more properties it allows to develop and manifest.

Air, activating the mental body, affects feelings and desires represented by Water.

In human consciousness, this movement corresponds to the movement into the future, or the feeling of time, where Air is the past and Water is the future.

Air, as a symbol of movement, acts as a weather vane, showing Water, as the force of chaos, the direction of movement. Thus, time in human consciousness according to the Western magical tradition is a method of resisting any disorderliness and spontaneity, and also a way to direct chaos towards creation of the future. Here, the process of asserting the power of Air (thought) over all other elemental manifestations is taking place: thought creates the future, thought directs time. Or, occultly speaking, the Son (Air) takes over from the Father (Fire).

The horizontal time movement of Air—Water finds its projection in human consciousness at the level of the Vishuddha chakra (throat) and controls the development of the causal body.

In this session, students acquire the primary skill of using amulets in their work to regulate the current: slowing down and speeding up the subjective flow of time. Primary practice of controlling and/or predicting events through time awareness.
