About the Earth Element. Activating Its Vibrations Within Oneself
The Earth Element is, in truth, far closer to us than we often realize. Our physical body is, for the most part, aligned with the vibrations of the Earth Element; in terms of density, we resonate with it rather than with the high vibrations of Atman. Indeed, the higher vibrations of Atman are not naturally inherent to human beings. Nature itself presupposes that we have the right to live upon this Earth. It accepts us, nourishes us, and sustains us. It will not destroy us as a foreign element, nor will it cast us out of itself.
When we immerse ourselves in the Earth, it becomes a part of us. It is not some enclosed space that shelters or protects us from something; rather, it is an extension of your own body.
Activating its vibrations within oneself means embracing all of its qualities — both natural and beyond the natural — until they, too, become an inseparable part of consciousness. This is difficult to understand, but it is very important to feel. Why? Because nature abhors a vacuum. If you separate yourself from it, convince yourself of that separation, place your faith in it, and sever your connection to your roots, then nature will see an empty space where you stand—and it will inevitably fill that space with something else. Removing you from the physical plane is entirely within its power. Removing you from the social plane is also within its power. But as a rule, the Earth does not concern itself with society. The Earth belongs to the physical realm.
By awakening the Earth Element within oneself, one first awakens the natural rhythms. It begins to reveal the rhythm in which you must live in order to align with it, to become one with it, and to enter into resonance with it. What food to eat, how much sleep you need, and at what time you should sleep. This strengthens your nature here and now.
The Earth Element Is a Repository of Information
The Earth Element is a vast repository of information — information about everything that has ever existed upon this world. If you have lived on this planet before, that memory exists within the Earth. If your ancestors came from this world and were laid to rest within it, their memory also remains in the Earth.
One of the unique qualities of the Earth Element is that it finds a place for everything. No memory and no piece of information is ever considered unnecessary. The Earth Element never compresses information, cuts it down, or reshapes it to make it more convenient to preserve. For the Earth, for the Earth’s system itself, there is no concept of good or bad. It may determine whether something is needed or not needed, but again, only in relation to a particular purpose. Whether it is useful or useless. And the most important task of the Earth is that there must be life in this world. Everything must live, and that which has lived out its time must die. Without preference — simply because each thing has its own allotted span.
The deeper you descend into the layers of the Earth, the more ancient the memory that awakens within your bones. Naturally, one can reach the deepest, lowest layer only after passing through all the preceding ones. And the more you work with your consciousness, the deeper you settle. Your existential volume becomes heavier, and accordingly, you sink ever deeper into the Earth.
If you embrace the Earth Element, and it says to you, “I accept you; you are mine,” then everything may be drawn from it. The knowledge contained there is immeasurably rich. It has not yet been divided according to the proto-foundations. If we recall the structure of the World Tree, Yggdrasil, this is the realm of Jotunheim, where all information is gathered and stored. Nothing is sorted according to the rules of good or bad, for the concepts of good and bad are egregorial rules. But the Earth says: “There is nothing that would be of no use to me.”
Demeter, for example — the fruitful aspect of nature — can consume everything that is buried in the Earth, turning it into nourishment for her children. And Rhea, as memory, says: “I need everything.” (Rhea kept her children not in her own womb, but in the womb of her husband, Cronus — that is, within Time itself.) “Whatever takes place in time, I need it. I will preserve all of it.” Gaia, too, still keeps within herself her children, her firstborn, because she says: “If it was born, then it is needed. If it is of no use today, it may be of use tomorrow.” If you are prepared to follow the path of transformation to its very end, then your understanding of what the Earth is must change within your mental perception.
