– I wouldn’t say that they are his embodiment. I would rather say that they are the carriers of the program of god Thanatos. That would be a better formulation, since the god of death is less likely to have descendants. Thanatos is a function of the system and not a living entity. Gods typically represent systemic or functional mechanisms. So does Thanatos.
